About the Event
Al Bertrand is Editor in Chief and Associate Publishing Director at Princeton University Press (PUP). Prior to joining PUP in 2010, Al was an editor and editorial director at Blackwell Publishing and John Wiley & Sons. Al earned a BA in History from the University of Chicago and an MA in Classics from Princeton.
The session will focus on academic publishing as a potential career for graduate students. Al will discuss entry into publishing as a career, the value and reward of publishing as a career, the business of publishing, and the role of academic publishing in academia.
