About the Info Session

Representatives from the Natural Areas Conservancy will be available on Thursday, March 12, for an employer information session to discuss their work and their paid field research internships. Employer information sessions are a great opportunity to meet company representatives and ask any questions you might have about their organization or application process.

Natural Areas ConservancyAbout the Natural Areas Conservancy & Their Paid Field Research Internships

Since its founding in 2012, the Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC) has been seeking new ways to protect, restore, and improve nature in NYC. Through their college and graduate school internship program for CUNY students, they are working to train the next generation of urban ecology professionals.

Each summer, the NAC staff trains interns in field research methods in NYC’s natural areas. Since 2016, they have trained over 60 interns. During the summer, interns collect and manage ecological data, meet professional contacts, and develop as ecologists, researchers, and science communicators.

See the links below for detailed descriptions and to apply:

This program is supported by the Leon Levy Foundation and Jerome Levy Foundation, the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, Lise Strickler, and an anonymous donor.
