Alumni Aloud: Announcing the Launch of a New Podcast Series

Alumni Aloud

The Office of Career Planning & Professional Development is proud to announce the launch of a new podcast series: Alumni Aloud!

Alumni Aloud is made by Graduate Center students for Graduate Center students. Each episode features a personal interview with a GC alum in which they talk about their journey from the Graduate Center to their current career. The podcast highlights what alumni learned from their individual job searches and includes practical advice for current graduate students. We focus on careers outside of traditional academia to help expose students to a range of perspectives on careers and work opportunities.

In addition to expanding the world of possibilities available to those with graduate degrees from the GC, we hope Alumni Aloud will give you an awareness of the resources and services that we offer students here at the GC’s Office of Career Planning and Professional Development. We also hope it will help you with your own professional development, and your thinking about future careers, as you progress through your academic program.

As part of our launch, we are featuring five inaugural interviews with GC alumni who now work in fields as diverse as broadcast media, media content strategy, U.S. government, data analytics, and interstate transportation infrastructure. These alumni come from GC programs in anthropology, liberal studies, computer science, and political science.
