Within and outside of academia, preparing research proposals is part of the job. As a graduate student, you can write the pitch, but how much do you ask for? What do you ask for? A compelling budget and justification can be more important than the proposal narrative.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of writing a proposal budget, including:
- The budget’s basic components
- How to estimate costs realistically
- How to determine which costs are allowable (or not)
- What other documents you may need to submit
