About this Career Panel

Do you love books? Not just to write or read or write or cite, but to catalogue, market, and help publish? This roundtable panel features four professionals (including two MALS alumni) who work in different areas of the worlds of books: literary agency, marketing, and academic libraries.

This panel will be part discussion among panelists and part Q&A format, with much of the time devoted to student questions. And if you can’t make it, we’ll have a recording available.

Panelists

Terrie Akers (International/Global Studies, M.A.), Director of Marketing, Other Press

Wanett Clyde (Liberal Studies, Fashion Studies/African American History, M.A.), Assistant Professor and Collections Management Librarian, New York City College of Technology (City Tech)

Kevin O’Connor (Religion, B.A.), Founder, O’Connor Literary Agency

Amanda Watson (English Literature, Ph.D.), Librarian for English & Comparative Literature, NYU Bobst
