About this Webinar

Navigating the Career Search in the SciencesIn the United States today, there are more STEM students graduating with PhDs than there are tenure-track positions. According to the National Science Foundation, less than 15% of students who graduate with a PhD in a STEM field will find a tenure-track faculty position within six years of graduating.

Fortunately, STEM PhDs can find many rewarding careers outside of academia. This webinar will highlight the plethora of opportunities available, including jobs in industry, government, education, and business. Joshua Brumberg, PhD, and Jennifer Furlong, PhD will talk about the best way to explore and research these different career paths, as well as steps you can take to start your career development well before you need a job.
