To all new and returning students and faculty, welcome to the Fall semester 2017!
At the GC’s Office of Career Planning and Professional Development, we’re here to support your goals. We provide a range of services for students and faculty, including: career assessment (including Myers-Briggs and Strong Interest Inventory personal aptitude tests); career and professional advisement; resume/CV and cover-letter consultations; job interview prep and coaching; guidance in navigating online career resources such as Vault and LinkedIn; as well as a number of workshops, seminars, and webinars throughout the year on various aspects of professional development.
This summer, we’ve enjoyed continuing our wildly successful graduate student writing consultations. We’ve been posting blogs—most recently, be sure to check out our blog roll for insightful, practical tips on how to use design thinking in your career search.
Stay tuned for another year of initiatives and programming from our offices. This Fall, we have a great selection of live programs covering everything from job search materials to panels featuring alumni in non-academic careers including market research, arts and cultural production, and applying scientific research in the business world. On top of all that, stay tuned for a new podcast series from our office, to be announced soon.
Please feel free to stop by during walk-ins on Mondays from 12:00-2:00 pm and on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 pm in suite 3300.30, or make an appointment by calling us (212-817-7425), emailing us (firstname.lastname@example.org), or filling out our appointment request form. Stay tuned—we look forward to meeting you!
