A recent article in the Chronicle pointed out that 35 to 40 percent of full-time teaching positions advertised in their publication are at community colleges. But the benefits and challenges of teaching at a community college can differ from those at four-year schools.

Please join us as we hear from four GC grads who have made their own careers at community colleges:

  • Lorraine Cohen, Professor of Sociology and Coordinator of the Labor and Community Organization Option, Chair of Social Science Department, LaGuardia Community College, CUNY
  • Stacey L. Donohue, Professor of English and Chair of Humanities Department, Central Oregon Community College
  • Ilan Ehrlich, Assistant Professor of History, Bergen Community College
  • Paul A. West, Associate Professor Department of Mathematics, Engineering & Computer Science, LaGuardia Community College, CUNY
